The Gypsy Fortune Teller
Every Carnival and side show had its Fortune Teller. So does the
Musee – in fact it has several ! Here we see the Gypsy Fortune Teller.
It is a large automaton who passes her hands over the magic tarot cards
to read your fortune. She then drops a card into a slot with your
fortune printed on it for you to bring home with you. She is in great
condition for being over 70 years old. The times may have changed, but
the fortunes have not – she still tells you if you will become rich, become
a parent or marry your special someone – and we still want to believe they
are all true.
